# Aareal Bank AG
Aareal Bank AG is a German public limited company (Aktiengesellschaft) with its registered office and head office in Wiesbaden. It is wholly owned by Atlantic BidCo GmbH. Atlantic BidCo is indirectly held by funds advised by Advent International and Centerbridge Partners, by a subsidiary of Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and by other minority shareholders. The bank provides commercial property finance in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific. It also provides payment, account and deposit services to the German housing and energy industries. Atlantic BidCo took control in 2023, and the shares stopped trading in November 2023. The bank agreed to sell its software subsidiary Aareon to TPG in June 2024.
