BICs are printed with spaces and are shown here without them. Where the source routes 'via' a second BIC, that BIC is recorded in purpose. The group describes a correspondent network of more than 1,000 banks. Each correspondent BIC is checked against the Swift directory: a BIC missing from it, or registered to a differently named bank, may be a typo or out of date. Confirm settlement instructions with the bank before relying on them.
