RHB Bank Berhad is a public company incorporated in Malaysia, with its registered office in Kuala Lumpur. Bank Negara Malaysia licenses it as a commercial bank. Its shares have been listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia since 28 June 2016. On that date the bank took over the listing status of RHB Capital Berhad as the group's financial holding company. The Employees Provident Fund Board is its largest shareholder, followed by OSK Holdings Berhad. It heads RHB Banking Group, which provides retail, SME, corporate, treasury and Islamic banking, investment banking and insurance. The group also runs commercial banking operations in Singapore, Cambodia, Thailand, Brunei and Laos. The bank was formed in 1997 through the merger of Kwong Yik Bank Berhad and DCB Bank Berhad.
