Sources & method
Each edition compares two monthly files of Swift’s ISO 9362 BIC directory, as published by Swift: every BIC8 (institution) and BIC11 (branch code) added, removed or renamed between them. LEIs are those mapped to the head-office BIC through the Swift and GLEIF BIC-to-LEI relationship file. A change in the file is not a statement about the institution’s licence or standing.
