This declaration applies to the processing of data by Elucidate GmbH as data controller („Elucidate“). Scope and Definition - The declaration relates to the online presence of Elucidate and any relating websites, functionalities and content (collectively “Online Presence” or “Website“). With regard to definitions such as „personal data“ or the „processing“ thereof reference is made to the definitions in Art. 4 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Personal data of users will only be processed in accordance with applicable data protection regulation, in particular GDPR.

Data Processing in case of Web Access

When you visit our website, the browser on your device automatically sends the information required to establish the connection to the server of the Website. This information and usage data (e.g. visited website, content, response time, device data and IP address) is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The basis for such data processing is Elucidates legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 f GDPR as well as the user consent implied through the use of the website pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 a GDPR.

Data Processing in case of Online Queries

If you contact Elucidate via contact forms, email, phone or through social media, your information will be stored to process and respond to your query. Such processing of your personal data is based on your consent granted by using the relevant communication method. Data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the relevant purpose. Retention in line with statutory duties will be monitored every two years. Where the communication relates to the initiation of a contractual relationship the basis for processing is the contractual relationship, in particular the purpose of performing relevant obligations.

Sharing Data with Third Parties

Elucidate uses external hosting services for its Online Presence. Where this required under applicable data protection regulation Elucidate enters into data processing agreements with such providers. Elucidate endeavors to use service providers located in Germany or the EU. To the extent that service providers are located in the US this occurs in accordance with applicable regulation under the so-called Privacy Shield.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"), 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will generally be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Data Security

Elucidate uses the most common SSL (Secure Socket Layer) method in connection with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. Usually this is a 256 bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, 128-bit v3 technology is used instead. Whether a single page of the website is transmitted in encrypted form can be seen from the closed display of the key or lock symbol in the lower status bar of your browser. Elucidate also uses suitable technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or against unauthorised access by third parties.
