Union Bank of Taiwan is a commercial bank incorporated in Taiwan as a company limited by shares, with its head office in Taipei. Its ordinary shares are listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange. Investment companies linked to the Union Group of the Lin family hold the largest stakes. The bank offers retail, credit card, mortgage, corporate, bills finance and wealth management services through 91 domestic branches, plus representative offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. It opened for business in January 1992. In May 2026 it moved its securities brokerage business into a wholly owned subsidiary, Union Securities.
