Luzerner Kantonalbank AG is the cantonal bank of the Canton of Lucerne. It is a company limited by shares under private law, with its seat in Lucerne. It was founded in 1850 and has been a private-law company limited by shares since 1 January 2001. The Canton of Lucerne holds about 61.5% of the share capital and must by law hold at least 51%. The other shares are in free float. The bank offers retail, SME, corporate and private banking, asset management and trading services, mainly in the Lucerne economic area.
