It was established on 24 August 1993 and opened on 1 October 1993. Nomura Holdings, Inc. owns all of its shares. It provides banking services such as deposits, securities-backed loans and foreign exchange. It also provides trust services such as investment trust trusteeship, wrap trusts and inheritance-related services, mainly through Nomura Securities as its agent. It absorbed NCT Trust and Banking in July 2010. Since April 2025 it has formed part of the Nomura Group's Banking Division.
