Svenska Handelsbanken AB (publ) is a Swedish public limited banking company with its head office in Stockholm. It was founded in 1871. Its shares are listed on Nasdaq Stockholm, and AB Industrivärden is the largest shareholder. The bank provides retail, corporate, mortgage, asset management and markets services in its four home markets: Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. It operates in the UK through its subsidiary Handelsbanken plc. It sold its Danish operations in 2022 and sold parts of its Finnish operations in 2024.
