UBS AG is a Swiss bank incorporated as an Aktiengesellschaft (stock corporation), with registered offices in Zurich and Basel. It is wholly owned by UBS Group AG, the listed holding company of the UBS group, and is the parent of UBS Switzerland AG. The bank operates in wealth management, personal and corporate banking, asset management and investment banking. It was formed on 29 June 1998 by the merger of Union Bank of Switzerland and Swiss Bank Corporation, and it absorbed Credit Suisse AG on 31 May 2024.
