Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited is a licensed bank incorporated in Hong Kong. Its head office is in the Bank of China Tower, Central. It is wholly owned by BOC Hong Kong (Holdings) Limited, a company listed in Hong Kong and controlled by Bank of China Limited. The bank provides personal, corporate, institutional, treasury and custody services in Hong Kong, and has branches and subsidiaries in Southeast Asia. It was established on 1 October 2001 through the restructuring of the Bank of China Group's banks in Hong Kong. It describes itself as one of the three note-issuing banks and the sole clearing bank for Renminbi business in Hong Kong.
