Basler Kantonalbank (BKB) is the cantonal bank of the Canton of Basel-Stadt. It was founded in 1899 and has its head office in Basel. The canton holds all of its endowment capital and all voting rights, and its non-voting participation certificates trade on SIX Swiss Exchange. It works as a universal bank, mainly in the Basel region, and is the parent of Bank Cler AG, a wholly owned subsidiary that operates across Switzerland.
